Obsidian Worlds is entering soft launch this February

We’re excited to share that Obsidian Worlds will be entering a soft launch in mid-February.

This is an important milestone for us - not a flashy public launch, but a deliberate first step that lets us put the platform in real players’ hands, gather feedback, and shape Obsidian Worlds alongside the community that will ultimately use it.

If you’ve been following our progress so far, this is where things start to get interesting.

What Is a Soft Launch?

A soft launch is an early release designed to test, learn, and improve before opening the doors fully.

Rather than trying to be everything to everyone on day one, we’re: • Rolling out core features first • Working closely with early users • Stress-testing performance and workflows • Refining pricing, tooling, and UX based on real usage

This approach lets us build something genuinely solid - not just something that looks good on launch day.

What You Can Expect During the Soft Launch

During the February soft launch, users can expect: • Early access to Obsidian Worlds hosting A chance to run real Minecraft worlds on the platform and see how it performs in practice. • A direct feedback loop Early users will have a real voice in shaping features, priorities, and improvements. • A more hands-on experience This phase will be smaller, more personal, and more experimental than a full public launch. • Rapid iteration Things will evolve quickly. We’ll be listening closely and shipping improvements often.

This phase is about learning fast and building the right thing - not pretending everything is already perfect.

Why Join the Waitlist?

Because early supporters matter to us.

Anyone who joins the waitlist ahead of the soft launch will be first in line for: • Early access invites • Founding-user perks (we’ll be sharing details soon) • Preferential pricing or benefits reserved for early adopters • A chance to help shape the future direction of Obsidian Worlds

If you care about how Minecraft worlds are hosted - or you’ve ever felt that existing options weren’t built with creators in mind - this is your chance to be involved early.

Our Goal With Obsidian Worlds

We’re building Obsidian Worlds to be: • Reliable and transparent • Designed around real player and creator needs • Free from unnecessary complexity • Built for the long term, not quick wins

The soft launch is the first real step toward that vision.
