Over the next few days we're going to be showcasing the first five seeds we've chosen for the upcoming Obsidian Worlds release. These aren't random finds. We've carefully curated them with the help of talented seed hunters, tested them properly, and imagined what kind of communities they'd create.
This one might be the prettiest of the lot. We call it Heart of the Grove.

When we first landed on this seed, it was pretty obvious what the name was going to be.
You climb a snowy ridge, look out, and all you see is pink. Miles of cherry blossom covering the hills like someone spilled paint across the map. It’s beautiful enough on its own. Then your eye catches the middle of it.
Right in the centre of that pink ocean sits a small circular lake forming a kind of moat around an island of dark green trees. That’s heart of the grove. It looks like something from a fantasy novel, or a fairy tale. And once you’ve seen it, you can’t unsee it. It's almost like its been hand crafted rather than procedurally generated, and its pretty amazing things like this are even possible.

A world that already has a centre
Most seeds give you a nice spawn and leave the rest to you. This one hands you a landmark.
The heart feels intentional. Steep sides, flat top, a clearing in the middle with wildflowers. Water wrapping around it. Cherry hills pressing in from every direction. It already looks like a sacred site, a capital, or the last safe place in a fairy tale; depending on what kind of world you want to build.
You could put a temple on that island. A floating village. Or an imposing castle. We might even be tempted to leave it alone and build around it, so the grove becomes a kind of nature reserve. Either way, the grove is the perfect center point to the world, and the thing players naturally point at when they say “meet me there.”

Then there’s the mountain. Behind the cherry forest rises an unusual snow-capped dome. At sunset, it catches the light spectacularly, and makes the whole world feel bigger than it is. Between you and that summit there’s a deep valley, long shadows, and enough vertical terrain to keep builders busy for weeks.
Clifftop houses. Bridges across the gorge. A mountain village cut into the snow. A trail of lanterns winding from the pink hills up into the cold. This seed is a playground for fantasy style builders.

A village on the edge of the drop
Only a couple hundred blocks from spawn, on one side of a sheer river gorge, sits a peaceful village, perched right on the cliff. On the other side: cherry trees, petals, and a sheep that somehow looks more at home than the villagers do.
The gap between them is ridiculous. In the best way.
That gorge is begging for a bridge. Or a cable system. Or a harbour at the bottom with docks climbing the rock face. There’s even a ruined Nether portal down in the valley nearby; a glowing orange reminder that this peaceful pink world is connected to a world of fire and brimstone, if you’re brave enough to go there.

What we’d build first
If you’re stuck for where to start, here’s what we’d try:
Claim the heart itself as your main base and keep the pink hills as the “wilds” - it's the perfect spot for a defensive fortifications like a castle!
Span the village gorge with something dramatic - wood, stone, or even cherry wood if you’re feeling on-theme
Use the snowy peaks as a lookout - perhaps wizard tower that overlooks the whole grove
Treat the ruined portal as the story hook: why is it here, and what’s on the other side?
We have a feeling this is the kind of seed where you’ll place one block… then look up… and suddenly have three new ideas.
We’d love to see what you build here.
The next seed takes us somewhere completely different.
